Archive Mouse

Archive Mouse is a macOS app for people who keep large text archives: writers, editors, researchers, journalists, students and teachers. It manages texts and their versions and brings order into folders that have grown over years.

It finds exact file copies and documents with identical text, similar documents and similar file names, words and phrases highlighted in the text, and repeated paragraphs and long repeated fragments. From a result you can jump straight to that place in the document, see file information and a text excerpt, open, rename or show files in Finder, move files to the Trash and restore them, and compare two versions of a text in Microsoft Word without formatting.

Formats: DOCX, TXT and RTF. The app works in English, German, French and Russian.

Everything happens on your own computer. The app works offline, collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere.
