Privacy Policy for Art Crow

Overview
Art Crow is a macOS application designed for creating and distributing event invitations, reminders, and closing messages via email, plus managing recipient contacts.
Data the Application Processes
The app works exclusively with information you provide:
Contact details: names, email addresses, groups, city, language preferences, and other specifics you input.
Event information: text content, dates, venue details, addresses, links, and invitation images you select.
Mailing configuration: your sender name and email address.
The application can access your macOS Contacts if permitted, reading names, email addresses, postal addresses, and groups. You may also import contacts from files. This is your computer’s own address book and is not Google data.
Google Integration
When signing in with Google, the app requests only basic account information and permission to send emails through your Gmail account. It cannot read, delete, or modify existing emails.
Google User Data: Access, Use, Protection, Retention and Deletion
Art Crow requests three OAuth scopes: openid, email, and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send.
Access: the app receives your Google account identifier and your Gmail address, and it receives permission to send email on your behalf. The app does not read, list, download, modify or delete any message, draft, label, contact or other data in your Google account. No aggregated or anonymised Google user data is derived or stored.
Use: your Gmail address is used to show you which account is connected and to set the sender of the message. The gmail.send permission is used for one purpose only: to send the invitation, reminder or closing message that you have composed, at the moment you press send.
Transfer: no Google user data is transferred to any third party. The message goes directly from your Google account to the recipients you chose. The developer operates no server and receives no data.
Protection: all communication with Google uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Your Google access and refresh tokens are stored in the macOS Keychain, encrypted by the operating system and protected by your account password. All other data stays in the app’s sandboxed folder on your own computer.
Retention and deletion: the app keeps your Google tokens and your Gmail address on your computer only for as long as the account stays connected. Signing out inside the app deletes them immediately from the Keychain. You can also revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com under Security, Third-party apps. Deleting the application removes all remaining local data. The developer stores nothing and therefore retains nothing.
Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is never used for advertising, lending or credit purposes, is never sold or transferred to data brokers or advertisers, and is never used to develop, improve or train any artificial intelligence or machine learning model, nor transferred to any third-party service that would do so.
Data Storage
All contact and event information remains on your device. Authentication credentials are stored in macOS Keychain. The developer maintains no servers and receives no data.
Optional iCloud synchronization stores your data in your private iCloud account, managed by Apple. Text translations use Apple’s on-device translation feature.
Data Sharing
No data is sold, shared with or transmitted to third parties by the developer. Emails transfer directly from your account to recipients you select.
Purchases and Control
App Store handles all payments through Apple. You retain full control: view, edit, or delete any data anytime. Revoke Google access via Google’s account permissions settings.
